We engaged Doug Maarschalk to conduct an external assessment of our culture and help further develop our culture strategy. This involved supporting our Enterprise Agile Coaches to provide practical steps to develop mindsets and behaviours for high performing teams. He also presented at our internal training seminars this year on how leaders can foster an environment of purpose, mastery and autonomy.
Doug brought clarity within the complex and dynamic nature of our environment. He related well and quickly earned the trust of the leaders and teams he engaged with.

One of our HR team recommended Doug to us. I resonated with the Intrinsic Motivation Framework of Purpose, Mastery and Autonomy. Doug facilitated a session on this as part of a Strategy Day. Following that we engaged Doug in a six-month program where he delivered content based on Intrinsic Motivation to build our leadership capability.

Doug contacted us whilst in the middle of a department restructure, so the timing was perfect. Having seen Dan Pink’s convincing TED talk and animation, followed by reading his book, Drive, on what really motivates people, I was keen to put his findings to work within my organisation.
Building, engaging and retaining a great team was the aim: an engaged team will deliver customer satisfaction with minimum direction; a retained team learns to work together well and makes financial sense – at least that was, and still is, the thinking!
